The music director Sachin Dev Burman was a favourite of Ramesh Tendulkar, the father of the cricket god. Unaware that his son would turn cricket into a major sport, he named his boy after his beloved music director.

The first player in history to score 100 international hundreds is the renowned cricket player. Throughout his cricket career, he scored 15,921 runs in Test matches and 18,426 runs in One Day Internationals. He scored 50 of his 100 international hundreds in ODIs and 51 in Tests. Virat Kohli broke his record by becoming the first batter to score 50 hundreds in One-Day Internationals.

Notably, Sachin stopped participating in One-Day International cricket in 2012. A year later, in November 2013, he announced his retirement from all cricket formats following his 200th Test match.

The world-class blaster has participated in 664 international cricket matches and amassed 34,357 runs. Along with Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Sachin has a sizable following base and is one of India’s most beloved cricket players.
