At the age of 39, Kedar Jadhav has announced his retirement from all forms of cricket.
In his nine T20Is and 73 ODIs, the all-rounder has represented India since making his debut on the international scene in 2014. In June 2014, he was called up by India for the One-Day Internationals (ODIs) against Bangladesh; however, he had to wait until November of the same year to receive his first international cap, which he received in Ranchi against Sri Lanka. Following that, he was included in the India squad for the two journeys to Zimbabwe: in 2015, during which he amassed an undefeated century, and in 2016, during which he was not given the chance to bat during the series.
He finished as Maharashtra’s second-highest run scorer in the Ranji Trophy in 2012, having achieved a triple century against Uttar Pradesh. With 1223 runs, including six hundreds, Jadhav became the season’s highest run scorer in the 2013–14 Ranji edition, solidifying his reputation.
He was originally a member of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru development squad. In 2010, the Delhi franchise (then known as the Daredevils) recruited him in, and he immediately made an impression by scoring a 29-ball 50 on his IPL debut. Over the years, he has played in the IPL for Kochi Tuskers, RCB, Chennai Super Kings, and Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Only in October 2016, when he played in all five of the home games against New Zealand, did he have a prolonged run in the ODI lineup. In the ensuing years, he established himself as a fixture on the national team, serving as a finisher. He was also present when India lost to New Zealand in the semi-final of the 2019 World Cup in England.
He has amassed 1389 runs at an average of 42.09 in 52 innings in ODIs, with two centuries and six fifties to his credit. He has taken 27 wickets at an economy rate of 5.15 with the ball.
He has 6100 runs at an average of 48.03 in 87 first-class matches, with 17 hundreds and 23 half-centuries. He recently crushed 182 against Jharkhand in Pune during the 2023–24 Ranji Trophy. From five games, he amassed 379 runs by the end of the season. He amassed 1196 runs at a strike percentage of 123.17 in 93 IPL games.
at 2020, he had his final appearance for his country, which was at Auckland against New Zealand.
