ICC T20 World Cup 2024: Afghanistan Drop Uganda’s All Wickets At 58, Defeat By 125 Runs

Afghanistan defeated Uganda by 125 runs in today’s ICC T20 World Cup 2024 match, which was held at Providence Stadium. Afghanistan claimed all of Uganda’s wickets at 58 runs.

Uganda chose to bowl first after winning the toss and being briefed about the match. Afghanistan lost five wickets while making 183 runs while batting first. Of which, Mohammad Nabi scored 14 runs (not out), Ibrahim Zabran scored 70, and Rahmanullah Gurbaz scored 76. Alpesh Ramjani claimed one wicket, while Brian Masaba and Cosmas Kyewuta claimed two for Uganda.

Uganda lost all of their wickets at 58 runs while trying to reach the goal of 184 runs. Among them, Bilal Hassan scored eight, Riazat Ali Shah scored eleven, and Robinson Obuya scored fourteen. On the other hand, Rashid Khan claimed two wickets, Naveen-ul-Haq grabbed two, and Fazalhaq Farooqi claimed five for Afghanistan.

At 8 p.m. today, England and Scotland will play their second encounter at Kensington Oval. On June 9, the Indian squad will play their all-time rival Pakistan in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. The game is scheduled to take place in Nassau County, New York.
