The tentative dates for the forthcoming ICC Champions Trophy 2025, which will take place from February 19 to March 9, have been announced by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). According to the plan, the India-Pakistan game will take place on March 1, 2025, at the storied Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
The Indian men’s cricket squad, however, may not make the trip to Pakistan for the ICC Champions Trophy the following year, according to recent sources. The Indian government will make the final decision.
Considering this likelihood, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) may bring up this matter during this month’s ICC conference in Sri Lanka.
This hasn’t been verified yet, though, and additional details will become available following the ICC conference.
India has not visited Pakistan since 2008, and the two countries only got together for a bilateral series in 2012–13. Although India was scheduled to go to Pakistan in 2023 for the Asia Cup, the competition was conducted in a hybrid format, with all of India’s matches—including the championship game—taking place in Sri Lanka.
Pakistan’s draft for CT 2025:
Seven games will be held in Lahore, five in Rawalpindi, and three in Karachi, per the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) recently released ICC Champions Trophy 2025 schedule.
The first game is scheduled to take place in Karachi, while the highly anticipated India vs. Pakistan encounter is scheduled to take place on March 1 at the legendary Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
There will be a final in Lahore and two semifinals held in Karachi and Rawalpindi.
The source stated that Lahore would host all India games, including the semifinals if the team advances.
