After receiving a match briefing, the Pakistani Champions chose to bat first after winning the toss. Pakistan scored 156 runs in 20 overs while batting first, losing 6 wickets. Out of which, Maqsoof scored 21 runs, Kamran Akmal scored 24, and Shoaib Mallik scored 41.
