South African bowler gets severely injured during Major League Cricket

Ryan Rickleton, a batter, gave fast bowler Carmi le Roux of South Africa a strong blow to the head that left him seriously injured. According to reports, during the San Francisco Unicorns vs. Seattle Orcas match, le Roux was bowling his second over when Rickleton’s shot caught him off guard and slammed onto his head, seriously cutting him.

Luckily, the bowler was unharmed by the blow and managed to walk off the pitch without the assistance of his teammates. According to reports, Rickleton attempted to hit the ball straight, but the shot went straight towards the bowler. Carmi le Roux’s head was gushing blood as a result of the blow.

Immediately after the tragedy, medical personnel hurried to the scene. Le Roux managed to escape on his own, much to the relief of everyone.

Following his departure, Corey Anderson, an all-rounder for the USA and a former player for New Zealand, finished the over.

Seattle Orcas chose to bowl first after winning the toss, according to the match brief. San Francisco Unicorns, batting first, lost seven wickets while scoring 165 runs. Matt Short scored 56 runs, followed by 34 from Finn Allen and 30 from Sanjay Krishnamurthi. Cameron Gannon claimed three wickets for SO, Imad Wasim claimed two, and Harmeet Singh claimed one.

In pursuit of the objective, SO amassed 142 runs while conceding six wickets. Of them, Ryan Rickelton scored 29 runs, Hammad Azam scored 16 runs (not out), and Shehan Jayasuriya scored 54 runs. Liam Plunkett grabbed three wickets for SFU, while Matt Short and Corey Anderson both claimed one wicket.
