Radha Yadav, the left-arm spinner for India, thanked the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) for saving her life when floods in Vadodara, Gujarat, put her in danger.
Yadav expressed her gratitude to the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) on Instagram for their assistance. Yadav posted footage of the floods in her neighbourhood, including rescue workers rafting through the flooded streets. In order to convey the terrible circumstances they were in, the movie also showed individuals wading through the water.
“We were stuck in a very bad situation. Thank you so much NDRF for rescuing us,” Yadav wrote, highlighting the severity of the situation and the timely intervention by the rescue teams.
There has been extensive destruction caused by the recent floods in Gujarat; reports indicate that 28 people have died and almost 18,000 have been forced to evacuate to safer places. Entire neighbourhoods have been buried by the unrelenting rains, making rescue efforts difficult yet essential.
Yadav, who is a key element of India’s 15-person team for the 2024 Women’s T20 World Cup, will shortly return to her native country. India is drawn with the reigning champions Australia, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and New Zealand for the October 3 start of the competition. On October 4, India will begin their campaign against New Zealand.
Her most recent appearance came at the Women’s Asia Cup, where she made a big impression against Bangladesh in the semi-final by taking three wickets.
