After being selected to bat first, Bangladesh’s bowlers held India to just 117 for seven on the board, with Trisha being the only batter to hit more than 50 runs (52 runs off 47 balls). She also received two sixes and five fours. Prasad, another batter, reached double figures. Other batters, though, might score a lot.

Mithila Vinod, meanwhile, gave the batting some late impetus with a rapid 17-run hit off 12 balls.

Sumaiya Akhter and Mosammat Eva, two hitters for Bangladesh, were unable to reach single figures, nevertheless. Juairiya Ferdous and Fahomida Choya, the opening batswoman, both scored 18 and 22 runs. After Sonam Yadav claimed her wicket, captain Sumaiya Akter stumbled.

In a span of 40 balls, Bangladesh lost their final seven wickets for 21 runs, further contributing to their batting collapse. India will want to maintain the momentum going into the U19 World Cup the following year.
