Rajasingh Indoor Stadium in Rajasthan hosted the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 match yesterday. Rajasthan Royals (RR) defeated Mumbai Indians (MI) by nine wickets.
After receiving the match brief, the Mumbai Indians chose to bat first against the RR team after winning the toss. MI lost nine wickets while making 179 runs while batting first. Of them, Nehal Wadhera scored 49 runs, Mohammad Nabi scored 27, and Tilak Varma scored 65 runs. While Trent Boult claimed two wickets, Yuzvendra Chahal claimed one, and Sandeep Sharma claimed five for RR.
In pursuit of the 180-run goal, RR managed to reach 183 runs with one wicket lost and eight balls remaining. Sanju Samson scored 38 runs (not out), Jos Buttler scored 35 runs, and Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 104 runs (not out). Piyush Chawla took one wicket for MI’s side.
In terms of the points standings, Mumbai Indians are ranked seventh with three wins and five losses, while Rajasthan Royals are ranked first with seven victories and one defeat.
At Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium today, the Chennai Super Kings and the Lucknow Super Giants will play. The game starts at 7:30 p.m.
