Champions Trophy 2025: Pakistan government deploys army on streets

In just 15 days, the Pakistani government will host the 2025 Champions Trophy. Pakistan vs. New Zealand will be the opening match of the tournament, which begins on February 19.

The government of Pakistan and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) have prepared everything for this. Additionally, the army has been stationed on Pakistani routes prior to the Champions Trophy match.

In Pakistan, a tri-series will be held prior to the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy. For this, the Pakistani army has been sent in to bolster the security framework. This series will begin airing on February 8. Teams from South Africa and New Zealand will compete against Pakistan in this.

Strict measures have been taken by the Pakistan Cricket Board to ensure the match is played safely. The Pakistani army’s Rangers have been assigned the security duty for the games that will take place in Karachi and Lahore. Since February 5th, the military has been stationed in Lahore in accordance with Article 245.
