Dinesh Karthik, an Indian batsman and wicketkeeper, is the first Indian to compete in South Africa’s franchise T20 competition. Kartik made his debut for the Paarl Royals on Saturday against the Eastern Cape Sunrisers.

Currently, Dinesh Karthik serves as the mentor and batting coach for the RCB IPL team. Last year, the batsman declared his retirement from the IPL, domestic cricket, and international cricket.
“I genuinely believe this is the best competition after the IPL,” said Kartik.
Dinesh took part in Tom Abell’s run-out in his debut match. After choosing to bat first, the Eastern Cape scored 193. Aiden Markram, the team’s captain, scored 82 runs off of 49 balls.
