After defeating Sri Lanka by seven wickets in the opening T20 International match of the series, Team India has secured the series. Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Pallekele, Sri Lanka served as the venue for the game.
India chose to bowl first after winning the toss and being briefed about the match. While batting first, Sri Lanka amassed 161 runs in 20 overs while dropping nine wickets. Of them, Pathum Nissanka scored 32, Kamindu Mendis scored 26, and Kusal Perera scored 53 runs. Arshdeep Singh and Hardik Pandya each grabbed two wickets, while Ravi Bishnoi claimed three for the Indian team.
But the rain caused the game to be stopped for a while. After that, India was given a target of 78 runs in eight wickets using the DLS technique. The man in blue lost three wickets while making 81 runs in the pursuit of the target. Of them, Hardik Pandya scored 22 runs (not out), Suryakumar Yadav scored 26, and Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 30 runs.
