Pakistani women decided to bowl against women from the United Arab Emirates.

In their crucial Asia Cup T20 match against United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, playing without a change, won the toss and elected to bowl. The captain of the UAE, Esha Oza, was content to accept what was offered even though he too wanted to bowl.

UAE replaced pacer Rithika Rajith with offspinner Suraksha Kotte.

Pakistan defeated Nepal by nine wickets but lost their opening match against India. In the event of a loss, they would have to rely on India defeating Nepal later this evening and the net run rate going in their favour. A victory today would guarantee their place in the semi-finals. UAE’s two losses in the race have eliminated them from contention.

In Dambulla, on a steamy and muggy afternoon, the match will take place on pitch number six. Isobel Joyce stated that in order to extract seam movement, the pacers will need to strike the ball hard because the surface has less grass.
